For optimal utilisation of all ALBA chair functions, proper setup of the chair mechanism is crucial. Each type of mechanism has specific adjustment options which, when used correctly, significantly enhance seating comfort. The following procedure will allow you to easily identify the type of your mechanism and find the corresponding instructions.
On your chair’s label, there is a configuration number from which you can easily determine the specific type of mechanism with which the chair is equipped (type highlighted in blue).
In the overview below, find the specific mechanism either by its type identified from the configuration number or by the photograph of the mechanism.

Avoid direct sunlight, as upholstery may fade due to UV radiation. When using, be careful of belts, jewellery with sharp edges, studs or zips on clothing that could damage the product. Regularly vacuum dust with a soft upholstery nozzle or brush; do not steam clean upholstery. Remove dust and dirt from smooth surfaces (leather and imitation leather, plastic, wood, metal) with a damp soft cloth or cleaning agent suitable for these materials. Clean the entire surface thoroughly and evenly.
For heavily soiled upholstery fabrics, we recommend professional cleaning. Upholstery can also be cleaned with a suitable foam cleaning agent or special upholstery cleaning product. Before treating stains, remove coarse dirt and dust with a soft brush. Brush with appropriate force to avoid damaging the textile fibres. Immediately absorb liquids using dry, absorbent material. Never apply cleaning solution directly to the stain; always apply it to the cloth. Before cleaning, test the cleaning agent on an inconspicuous area.
When wet cleaning, use as little water as possible and clean the entire surface from seam to seam to avoid wet stains whose edges would be visible after drying. Do not rub too hard as you would damage the upholstery fibres. Allow to dry completely before use; never wring. Imitation leather can be cleaned with a gentle, non-aggressive agent. When cleaning with chlorine, wipe immediately after use with a gentle, non-aggressive cleaning agent or lukewarm water. Leatherette is colourfast even when using cleaning agents with alcohol and organic solvents.
Do not use organic solvents, thinners, white spirit or aggressive chemical cleaners to clean our products, otherwise irreversible damage may occur.
Products from different production batches may have minor colour variations that are within normal commercial tolerances. Please note that the final properties of seams depend on the type of seam and the type of needle and thread. When sewing, we recommend seeking professional advice.
